Mr. N. S. Wong established Nanshing Color & Chemicals Co. Ltd. in December, 1950 in Hong Kong. It became a successor distribution company of Allied Chemical Corp. (now Honeywell), with which Mr. N. S. Wong had had a relationship since 1918. The Company’s sole and exclusive business then was the distribution of dyestuffs from Allied Chemical.
Mr. James W. H. Wong, son of Mr. N. S. Wong, joined the Company in May 1963 and founded Nanco Electronics Supply Ltd. in 1973. Nanco Electronics pioneered Dynapert Component Insertion Equipment to the electronics assembly industry in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China and in 1978 became Motorola (now Freescale) Semiconductors' first Hong Kong and China distributor.
Today, Nanco Electronics aims to be the dominant Greater China engineered electronic solutions provider to the global industrial grade Power and Networking markets.
